In Haitian Creole the term “BAZ” refers to the group of people that helps to define ones identity through association. It is a group of friends that depend on each other for companionship, encouragement, entertainment, and strength spiritually, socially, and personally, much like brothers would. They share a bond greater than blood and no individual’s existence can be understood without its connection to the group. This is why the Mountaintop BAZ Foundation has adopted this term to describe our organization. We may not all share a family name, but we share a name that identifies us as a social group made up of a multiple members each sharing equally in that identity.
Mission: To encourage young men in brotherhood, community, wisdom, and productivity.
Vision: Raise up young men who believe in themselves and their capacity for good while contradicting negative stereotypes placed on them by society.
